PAKEAREN KOLOREAK, LOS COLORES DE LA PAZ, THE COLOURS OF PEACE:

Con el texto de Josune López he tratado de dibujar mi sentimiento sobre la paz. Melodía, armonía y ritmos que nos ofrezcan un mundo de esperanza.

Obra escrita por encargo del «11º Simposium Mundial de Música Coral – Barcelona 2017” siendo el coro asignado para el estreno, S:T Jacobs Vokalensamble dirigido por Mikael Wedar. Obra a cuatro voces mixtas con divisis. El color como valor  estético es tratado con mucha delicadeza en el texto y cada vez que se menciona un color o la palabra «color», la música también expresa el matiz oportuno bien por cambio de juego armónico, o bien por alternancia de color vocal con contrastes entre las voces blancas y graves.

El final es de gran intensidad vocal, conjugado con un trabajo de percusión corporal, en el que cada cantor puede sentir y transmitir la contagiosa energía vital que emana el texto.

PAKEAREN KOLOREAK, LOS COLORES DE LA PAZ, THE COLOURS OF PEACE:

With the text of Josune López I’ve tried to draw my feeling about peace. Melody, harmony and rhythms that offer us a world of hope.

This choral work was commissioned by the «11th World Symposium on Choral Music – Barcelona 2017” to be premiered by S:T Jacobs Vokalensamble conducted by Mikael Wedar. It´s written for four mixed voices with divisis. The color as an aesthetic value is treated very delicately in the text and every time that a color or the word “color” is mentioned, the music expresses the appropriated nuance, either with a change in the harmonic play or vocal color alternation making contrast between female voices and male ones.

The ending has a great vocal intensity, conjugated with a body-percussion work, where each singer can feel and transmit the contagious vital energy emanating from the text.

PAKEAREN KOLOREAK Gorriz ahaztutako Pakea, (Gorriz datoz berriak,) odol gorriz eta nekez utzitako Pakea. (morez esperantzak.) Munduko gizon-emakumeen ahotsak, desberdin-berdinak, (Berde koloreak eskeintzen dit paisaia,) elkar ditzatela Pake asmoak! (itsas urdinak sakontasuna.) Munduko ahotsak… KANTIKA honen bidez sor itzazu, Jauna, Pake hotsak! (Urdin argiaren bukaeran zerumuga dago,) Eta… mezulari gisa hegan egin dezatela leku guztietatik, (lehorreko hori paisaietan sosegua…) leku guztietara. Urrun joan… gero etorri eta ekarri haize garbi! (Laranja bizia, bizitza, bizi-poza!) Ez, Pakea gorriz. Bai, Pakea txuriz. Pakea berriz! Bizitza baita bizitza!

LOS COLORES DE LA PAZ Paz olvidada por el rojo, (De rojo llegan las noticias,) Paz abandonada por la sangre roja y el cansancio. (de morado las esperanzas.) ¡Que las voces de los hombres y mujeres del mundo, diferentes e iguales (El color verde me ofrece el paisaje,) reúnan ansias de Paz! (El azul oscuro la profundidad) Las voces del mundo… Crea, Señor, por medio de este CANTO, sonidos de Paz (El azul claro termina en el horizonte) y que, como mensajeros, vuelen por todas partes. (y el sosiego aparece en los amarillentos paisajes secanos.) ¡Volad lejos y regresad trayendo aire fresco! (El naranja transmite vida y alegría de vivir.) No a la Paz teñida de rojo. Sí la Paz blanca. ¡Que vuelva de nuevo la Paz! ¡Porque la vida es vida!

THE COLOURS OF PEACE Peace forgotten by red (The news comes in red,) Peace abandoned by red blood and fatigue. (Hope is purple.) May the voices of men and women throughout the world, whether they be different or the same (Green offers me the landscape,) kindle a yearning for Peace! (Dark blue, depth) The world’s voices… Create, Lord, through this SONG, sounds of Peace (Light blue ends at the horizon) and may they, like messengers, fly everywhere. (and tranquility appears in the yellowy dry landscape.) Fly afar and return with fresh air! (Orange conveys life and the joy of living.) No to Peace stained red. Yes to white Peace, May Peace return! Because life is life!
