LAFA-LAFA: Esta canción la escribí en 1988. Leí un poema en el periódico e inmediatamente me gustó. Más tarde conocí a su autor, INAZIO MUJIKA, un joven (en aquél momento) que me agradó. Compuse la obra pensando en ser cantada por niños.
Del poema me gustó mucho la onomatopeya «lafa» y esta palabra fue mi inspiración. Compuse la música tratando de imitar el sonido que hace un perro cuando toma agua con su lengua.

* El texto está escrito en Euskera. Para servir de ayuda a aquellos que no conocen el idioma vasco, se incluye la traducción a español e inglés así como una pequeña guía para la pronunciación.
* Está grabada en CD en 1996 por el coro femenino Kanta Cantemus Korua, fundado y dirigido por el propio compositor, Javier Busto. Dicho disco contiene exclusivamente música compuesta por él para voces blancas. Nombre del CD: «Javier Busto: Musika».

LAFA-LAFA: This lovely song was written in 1988. “I read a poem on the newspaper and immediately I liked it. Afterwards, I started looking for the writer, finding a young pleasant man named INAZIO MUJIKA.
It was later, and inspired on the poem, that I wrote this work to be sung by children. At that time, I used to write lots of music for children. The onomatopoeia «LAFA»inspired me. I tried to play with this word as being the noise that a dog makes when drinking water with its tongue”.
