Las Cantigas de Santa María son una colección de más de 400 composiciones lírico-musicales dedicadas a la Vírgen María. Fueron creadas en el siglo XIII durante el reinado de Alfonso X el Sabio, rey de Castilla y León. Como lengua utiliza el galaico-portugués.
Yo he seleccionado tres y he tratado de respetar, además de la melodía, la armonía que caracteriza a la música medieval tal y como la escuchamos hoy en día.

Cantigas seleccionadas: BEN GUARDA SANTA MARÍA (nº 257), Santa María (nº 100) y SABOR A SANTA MARÍA (nº 328).

The «Cantigas de Santa María» are a collection of more than 400 lyric-musical compositions dedicated to the Virgin Mary. They were created in the 13th century during the reign of King Alfonso X the Wise of Castile and León. The text is written in Galician-Portuguese.
I have selected three of them and have tried to preserve not only the melody but also the harmony that characterizes medieval music as we hear and understand it today.
